The weekend of Art Basel Harold Golen Gallery in Miami had a major fire
that destroyed dozens of significant pieces. The single biggest loser
was Skot Olsen who was debuting a new series of paintings, most of which
are gone. Lost also were works by Ron English, Tim Biskup, Niagara and
Mars One to name a few. I personally lost 8 pieces from the Science
Shows You How series, but I have the technology and I can rebuild them.
Sell 'em or burn 'em is my new motto (or will be when I finally get my
insurance check). Harold plans on re-working the space and is making arrangements for a
temporary exhibition location.
